1/700 JMSDF Tachikaze DDG-168 (Pitroad)

The Tachikaze is my first JMSDF ship model. In my opinion, JMSDF vessels are the most delicate among the world. However, I choose to build the Tachikaze merely because I like the meaning of the name and its hull number has lucky meaning.

As usual Pitroad kits, the Tachikaze is easy to assemble. However, the mast is lightproof so that I sctachbuilt it using brass rods and extended sprues. The result is satisfactory.

The model represents the ship from 1993 to 1998. After that, the Tachikaze went through a major modification with the removal of the rear turrent to construct a commanding bridge in order to serve as the flagship of the JMSDF.
