IJN Yukikaze

1/350 IJN Yukikaze (Hasegawa)

This it is my latest model, the Hasegawa Yukikaze 1/350. When I began construction of this ship, I had as a main objective to do a trial of weathering, rusts, etc., with some specific new products for effects in ships that are developing from AK Interactive. During the construction I found a set of Japanese railings from Lion Roar (LE350002), and I decided to use it.

As can be seen, in this model I use almost all the techniques that I know of weathering, like oxides, drained, and wear in almost all the places of the ship to compare his effect in the different so much colors of the superstructures and decks.

Evidently in the reality he is very difficult to find a ship in which all these be appreciated effects at the same time, for which the most realistic vignette than itself occurred was me to represent it in dry dock. The ones that you are a little meticulous will be able to see that the effects are a little more accused in one of the sides, this due to the intention to seek the limit as for the quantity of product that should be used and from which no longer we paint but "we scribble".

The final result of these tests is used to keeping itself in a drawer and to be cannibalized months later, but if is done with care, having studied well the products and assessed on its use, the result can be a thing as attractive as this. Good….. it is worth… already I know that with the setset of photoech, metal barrels and other improvements can be done infinitely better, but this is not the case.
