1/96 Aegis Destroyer (Scratchbuild)
This is one of my Aegis destroyers. It was built to DDG 107 through DDG 112 standard back when the final design was still being worked on. One of the problems with that is that once the real ships are built I know I’ll have to make changes, and I hope they’re not major. The hull and superstructure are basswood the rest is a variety of woods, plastic, brass, and cast resin. This model took 10 weeks to finish. Jeff Herne provided the anchors, torpedo tubes, king posts, flag bags, SLG-32’s, and decoy launchers.
