This is a little diorama I built a few weeks ago for the Brunswick model show. It shows LCT 25, a US Landing Craft Tank, heading for the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. The LCT is homecast from the master Frank Ilse did for our “Supplying the Marines”-diorama. I added railing, a 20mm Oerlikon, some GHQ vehicles and Preiser-sailors. It’s painted in measure 21 camo, using WEM colorcoats.
The B-25 is from Trumpeters Hornet-kit, painted in olive drab over grey, invasion stripes added. A thin steel-wire holds the airplane.
The base is made up to our usual method, using transparent silicone.
