1/700 Aircraft Collection, Part 16; An-22 (Scratchbuilt)
Scratch built 1/700 scale Russian Antonov An-22 Antei (NATO: Cock) turboprop transport aircraft. Always had a fascination with the Russian biggies. This monster of an aircraft was for a long time the largest transport plane in the world and still is the largest turboprop transport. The model is scratch built from wood dowel and Evergreen sheet and tube plastic. The propellers are from a Pitroad TU-95 kit. The model is finished in the current Antonov Design Bureau gray, blue and white livery by hand painting and custom decals. The serial number is from a real and currently operating aircraft in the Antonov fleet.
