1/500 Convoy Escorts (Scratchbuilt)
More of my "toy-like" creations...as the battle of the Atlantic raged on, the escort carrier became available and this is my lend-lease effort, conjured up from my parts box, I call her HMS Dreamer. She is shown about to launch a flight of 2 Tarpons. The aircraft are from Matt Stein models. The hull is cedar with a basswood flightdeck. The weapons are Revell mostly with 20mm out of PE.
Slightly astern and to port is a covering Frigate which I also made from parts. The bridge is from UPC. The mast is Revell as are the modified twin mounts. Depth charge racks are from plastic rail and rod.
PE is from GMM.
Gathering parts and photos for an attempt at a Town class cruiser so thing are slow!!!might be reading too much Douglas Reeman also.........
