US Task Force with CV and CVL
The escort carrier is from Tamiya-- The Bogue. The grown-up carrier is Hasegawa's Ticonderoga. The two destroyers are Tamiya British O-class, and the merchant ship is Hasegawa's Heianmaru AKA sub tender AKA hospital ship.
All have PE from Gold Medal Models and are weathered with pastels. I
usually spray clear flat for a rougher surface, dust on some pastels, spray
a heavy, wet coat of clear flat to blend and seal the pastels, then repeat
until I get the look I am after. Dusting the pastels over a clear flat
gives them a better grip I feel.
