The Channel Dash

1/400 Operation Cerberus - The Channel Dash (Heller)

Includes TMW PE sets for Prinz Eugen, generic railings and ladders, GMM PE for German Warships, crew figures, WEM DKM AA weapons 1/400. Tauro models decals.

This diorama represents grossly the historical Operation Cerberus or the Channel Dash in which a major group of the Kriegsmarine rushed through the English Channel, starting from Lorient and ending in Wilhelmshaven. The diorama is supported by a large A/B waterline base and includes 7 ships (1/400 scale): CA Prinz Eugen (largest unit), a Narvik class destroyer (Z-32), a minesweeper, a torpedo boat and three schnellboats (fast attack patrol boats).

Each model was extensively upgraded using historical photos and diagrams. Scratch built, add-ons and rebuilt parts were made.

Realistic-looking water effects were made in a distinctive way for every vessel; underwater details are fully preserved in this A/B waterline format with fine detailing as hull weathering and propellers whirlpools.
