DKM Bismarck and Prinz Eugen

1/350 DKM Bismarck and Prinz Eugen (Tamiya and Iron Shipwright)

This is my representation of the battleship Bismark and the heavy cruiser, Prinz Eugen in March 1941, sailing together at the beginning of Exercise Rhine held in the Baltic Sea. Both models are in 1/350 scale with the Bismark being a Tamiya kit with GMM photo-etch and the Prinz Eugen, a Iron Shipwright kit. Both models are painted in WEM Colourcoats and rigging is done with a fine Tungsten wire. Reference for both builds were Classic Warship Pictorials. As some people know me by now, I leave the hulls intact and recess them in the base board, which leaves me the option of displaying them separately. I haven't quite finished all the details in these photo's as I'm still looking for scale Kriegsmarine flags and am still debating wether to put a crew on them. At the moment, it's bloody cold, so all the crew are inside.

There is a case cover that I've built but left off for the photo's. Now it's back to my big project, a 1/350 dio of the Doolittle Raid.
