1/700 Hapag Lloyd Containership (Revell)
I love Google Earth and it has inspired me for the past 8 projects featuring ports. This is my celebration of not only London`s new Thames Gateway But of the world`s container ports. For this project I turned to modern technology in the form of 3D Printing for the post Panamax cranes though these were just for the basic frame-the detail of each had to be scratch built.
The kit is the Revell 1/700 scale `Colombo Express` with Revell`s photo etch set. Containers a mixture of photo etch, resin and 3D printing, Buildings a mixture of Alliance Modelworks, Skywave and google earth sign in the water Lettaset
