Whaleback Diorama

1/72 Whaleback Diorama (Various)

Time: mid-1945 around tea time

It was a rather relaxed RAF rescue boat dock yard until 2 inspectors turned up on a spot inspection. A large barrel of fuel oil has been knocked over on the whaleback and is in the process of being cleaned up. Meanwhile, the crew is being dressed down by the 2 officers who want to know why the dock is such a mess. A few local fishermen look on - while one has a lucky catch, another holds out his arms measuring the size of the fish. The right side post is close to falling with its huge belly of heavy duty wire. Quite a lot going on, and with 6 weeks from start to finish, this has proven to be a fun build, and one I actually enjoyed, this being my first full blown 1-72 diorama. Please see my rather large write-up on the site.
