1/72 Mortal Enemies: HMCS Snowberry & VIIB U-Boat (Revell/Amati)
This is my not quite complete Flower Class Corvette (will add more detail at later date) and a VIIB U-Boat. I originally bought the corvette so I could add the Great Little Ships detail sets, but decided the cost was a bit too steep for me and built it straight out of the box. The Amaiti multi-media kit has been sitting on my shelf for about 8 years, wondering how I wanted to display it. About a month ago while cleaning the shelves, I stacked the corvette on top of the sub and while looking at the side panels it hit me. I used a profile gauge to cut out some 3mm acrylic sheet for the cradles and mounted it on some 12mm acrylic rods then drilled holes in the base board for mounting. The Corvette was painted with Humbrol and the sub with WEM Colourcoats.
