1/350 Fairmile D ASR & Short Sunderland III (White Ensign/L'Arsenal)
This is my rendition of the WEM Fairmile "D" ASR and the L'Arsenal Short Sunderland. Even though it begun as a "relaxing" small build, it became anything but this, as I masochistically decided to shave off all resin details above the main deck and scratch build replacements as per the AOTS Fairmile "D" ASR plans from styrene, paper, brass rod and wire. Due to the small size of the model i also decided to abandon my usual monofilament rigging method and use stretched sprue for the first time. It was simpler than I expected and I will be using it in future builds.
