I thought of building this one really to keep my 1/700's altogether and put some sense on them instead of placing them with the biggies (1/350's and 1/125's). I first scanned the market for harbor kits but they are just too expensive and some on-line shops have shipping cost that is double the actual cost of my order. So I simply used what I have in the cabinet. I used the Skywave Crane set for the cranes, two factories and the Oil Tanks. I also have a box of Tamiya Auxiliary Vessels. Everything else about the harbor were built from plastic, brass and illustration board. The water was simulated by applying Acrylic Gel and the ships were built separately before the harbor project even took place. I applied pastels to all of the building structures.
