The inspiration for this diorama was a collection of breathtaking photos, showing low level attacks against japanese shipping during WWII (Book: "Gun Camera Pacific" by L. Douglas Keeney) On of the more famous units that practiced this type of shipbusting was the 345th Bomb Group better known as the Air Apaches. I used the Ayanami kit from Tamiya with rails and figures from Lion Roar. The B-25`s are from Tamiyas Hornet kit. The water is sculpted Celluclay that I stippled with acrylic gel after painting it.The wave tops are made from white kitchen rubbing, which was covered with acrylic gel and partialy painted white.
