1/700 IJN Mikuma & IJN Asashio at Battle of Midway (Tamiya/Skywave)
This is the venerable 1/700 Tamiya kit of the Mikuma. It is a very nice kit with little problems. I have added Clipper gun barrels and various photoetch details from Tom's and Gold Medals sets for IJN Cruisers. The Asashio is the small but nicely detailed Skywaves kit. I thought I would make a battle scene of the Mikuma coming under attack. The Mikuma was one of the only capitol ship losses at Midway since the big losses were of course the carriers.
