Chinese Island Base

1/700 Chinese Island Base (Skywave/Pitroad and Scratch)

This is my 1/700 Chinese island base. It is a fictional diorama meant to depict a small outpost in the Paracel or Spratly Islands. The Sovremenny destroyer, command center, submarine bunker, dock, and most of the aircraft are modified from Skywave/Pitroad kits. The assault ships and submarine were built from scratch.

Ships in this diorama include a Kilo class submarine, a Sovremenny class missile destroyer number 137 (Fuzhou), a Yudeng Class Medium Landing Ship, and a Yulian Class Medium Landing Ship.

Some of the aircraft at the airfield include an H-6U tanker (based on the TU-16 Badger bomber), AN-26 and AN-30 twin-turboprop transports, Y-5 biplane, two Su-30MKKs, and two Q-5 Fantan. Helicopters shown parked at the heliport include an Mi-6 heavy-lift helicopter, Z-10 stealthy anti-tank assault helicopter, and a special forces Mi-17171 Hip.

Note the bunker with the ballistic missile launchers in front.
