1/350 Lost Scrapyard (Iron Shipwrights)
This is a small Diorama which "has actually developed it self". It came out of a Test to examine some painting techniques. The Kit was a present of some friends of mine. I did not felt able to render the kitīs subject "USS Hoga" in the way it once maybe was provided by Iron Shipwrights. The Resin was not-so-clean casted, but the PE Parts was quiet well. The base coat of the shipīs hull is done with various brown and orange acrylics. A coat of hairspray was applied, followed by a acrylic grey, just to be scrubbed off again with a short bristle brush and water, to render weathering effects. As the model was done, i decided to place it in a Diorama. The wood is treated with hairspray and oils as well. Now it has found a quiet place to rest..... http://www.marinewerft.de
