This waterline model of a Royal New Zealand Navy Rothesay class anti-submarine frigate was built primarily as a means of experimenting with construction from styrene card. It's based on an approximate plan drawn from drawings and photos gleaned from the net. It was a good way of getting back into ship modelling and provided valuable experience on skills useful for modifying and improving kits, the benefit of which is possibly evident in the model of HMAS Melbourne shown in the background of some of these shots, which is a conversion project in progress from the Airfix 1:600 HMS Victorious kit.
