1/700 HTMS Makut Rajakumarn (Scratchbuilt)

HTMS Makut Rajakumarn (Ma-kut-ra-ja-ku-marn) was the first surface-to-air missile frigate that the Royal Thai Navy ordered from Yarrow Shipyard, Scotland. She was commissioned into the Royal Thai Navy on 5, May 1973.

HTMS Makut Rajakumarn is 2,072 tones full load and the dimensions are 97.56 × 10.97 m. She carries 4 × SEA CAT SAMs, 2 × 114 mm (4.5”) Vickers guns, 4 × 12.5 mm guns, 2 × CHAFF MK 135, Anti Submarine Mortar Mark 10, 1 × Depth charge Track.

At present, Sea cat SAMs are removed while 40/70 mm twins guns and 2 × PMW-49A Torpedo were added in 1997. She changed her pennant number from 7 to 433.

I scratchbuilt this ship with plastic sheet (old ruler) and epoxy putty (altego). I used weapon from HMS Newcastle (S-Mar) and PE for railing Kun-Pead (Local PE from Thailand).
