1/48 Tai Chi 10824 (Scratchbuilt)
This 1:48 scale scratch-built model of a deep sea fishing boat was a
memento for my Tai Chi teacher who recently retired . Besides Tai
Chi, he is also a fishing enthusiast who goes deep sea fishing in the Caribbean
and Gulf Coast annually. The model was built with him reeling his
catch at the back. Ship name Tai Chi 10824 is a combination of the
108 and 24 tai chi styles that he masters. I designed the boat based
on some online research of 40ft deep sea fishing boats sailing the Caribbean
and Gulf Coast. Model of the boat was built using hard paper stock/plastic
rods and the figurines were made from playdough.
