1/400 Jacques Cousteau’s La Calypso (Modified JSC)
I always wanted to have Jacques Cousteau’s “La Calypso”. I guess you may convert the Heller Mercure (if you can find it) or build the Revell Kit in 1/125. In 1/400 scale the alternative was a paper model. This is a work in progress of a modified BYMS-2211 minesweeper by JSC in need of rigging, and a “tricouleur”. Using the JSC model, I redraw the hull, extended the main deck, added a helicopter platform, and modified the bridge using mainly internet resources. Then I scratch build the helicopter. For the Catalina I did something similar, using a JSC model, I redrew the Catalina to be white and yellow and omitted the front turret.
