Watercraft in the Model Railroad world

1/87 Watercraft in the model railroad world
While attending the Great American Train Show (GATS) in Kansas City, I took these nautical related pictures. The fishing boats shown here were scratch built. In this type of model railroad club, each member builds his own 30" x 48" (or 60" to 96") module. They are built to a standard size and the tracks connect in the same place on both ends. Each member is allowed to build his own scene.

The second and third pictures are of an operating lift bridge on a Missouri theme railroad. The scratch built tug and barge would traverse the short water segment after the bridge went up, and turn around to make another run.

The last one was a military theme module that caught my eye.
