Mosonmagyaróvár is a city on the north-western part of Hungary. There is a modeler's society in the city and they organized an International Model Show last weekend. I visited that show and I would like to show the pictures what I took there.
You can see an Austro-Hungarian tugger from 1910 on the picture above. I offer the 'water' to your attention. It's very realistic isn't it ? This diorama was made for a company called Nikolai Exclusive Modeling. They are located in Vienna, Austria and they are producing unpainted 1/72 resin figures and accessories. One of these accessories is the 'water'. I saw other nice dioramas with this 'water' (E.g.: two indians arrive with a canoe to a village on the bank of a river, a truck is crossing a shallow creek, etc.). If you are interested in the details send an email to this address: nikolai4u@chello.at
The next pictures show a cardboard model. It's the Z-31 in 1:400. It was exhibited by a Polish model club. They brought several cardboard kits to the show and we could buy unassemblied ones from them. I bought a USS Washington in 1:200. I got a visit card from them, thus I have their address.
The pictures show the rest of the exhibition. I took pictures about those kits what I found interesting. The first is an English tugger from Revell in 1/100, the next is the German rescue ship Arkona in 1/72 and the diorama of the USS Hornet was exhibited by the IPMS Austria. The last is the German submarine U-2540. I have to mention the sailing ships including the USS Lynx in 1/72, USS United States in 1/50 and the Vappen von Hamburg. It was a good show and I hope I can go back again next year.
