I visited a modelshow last weekend. I've written a short article about it. Please read the enclosed file and enjoy the pictures. Probably you remember to my friend Károly Lovrencsics. He built the Lenin kit. I'd like to show a few other works from him. The first is the Polish ocean liner Batory in 1:400 and the other is an Airfix ship. I was told that it was the Royal Sovereign of Seas but I'm not sure because there is French flag on the mast and RSS was an English ship. Unfortunately the notepaper what you can see in front of the kit was filled incorrectly. Thus I don't know the builder's name and the scale of the kit. One thing is sure. It's a Roman warship. Unfortunately the notepaper what you can see in front of the kit was filled incorrectly. Thus I don't know the builder's name and the scale of the kit. One thing is sure. It's a Roman warship. The situation is the same like in the previous case. I've tried to find the builder but I couldn't. I had to find out how he made this diorama. It was not so hard but I'm not sure about his manner. The basic is an aquarium and the sub (Revell U-47) was put into two glass columns ( it can be seen on the second picture ). The whole dio is covered with a transparent blue plastic bag. I'd like to show a few pictures about those kits which got a prize at the contest. The first kit is Mr Jurani Raymond's work. It's a Revell Snowberry kit in 1:72. Mr Jurani lives in Bratislava in Slovakia. I think if you look at the pictures you will understand why he got the first prize. It seems I've sent a series of pictures about Snowberry twice. Delete it ! Well, the second work is a Tamiya Yamato in 1:350. The builder is Mr Imre Somogyi. It took him 2 years to build this kit. The ship is fitted with an Eduard set. But Mr Somogyi didn't use all parts from the PE set. Most rails and ladders are schrachtbuilt. He won a second prize with his ship. Tim ! A few pictures are maybe blur but please try to sharpen them ! Let me show you a few pictures about the kit that I've entered for the contest. It's the Fujimi Missouri in 1:700. I know it's not a masterpiece but this is my first kit where I've replaced everything with PE parts. Unfortunately the SK-2 radar didn't 'survive' the trip thus it's missing from the mast.
