1/72 HMCS Snowberry (Revell Germany)
The model is built by me in about 10 months. I used a lot of detailed pictures of the flowerclass corvettes especialy the Snowberry. The internet was used to find pictures, around 60, from tyhe shipsyard to the scrapheap. I decided to build a so called weathered model, those corvettes were mostley of their short lifes on the North Atlantic and had short time for docking. The model has led navigation lights and leds inside the hull. Some of the parts inside the box were replaced , for instance the two last s/b and port dingy were replaced by rafts. The Snowberry had them. Fire hoses and pumps were added. Boxes replaced accordingly to the pictures. On some of the pictures of the Snowberry you can see here callsigne which was GQCJ. I enjoyed the building of this model very much and learned, bought a lot of books and red a lot about corvettes originaly designed as a whalehunter and some lucky ones were rebuilt instead demolished .
