1/350 HMS Brereton (Atlantic Models)

Here are some pictures of my model of HMS Brereton, a Ton Class Minehunter.

I have modelled HMS Brereton as she appeared in 1985 when she was attached to the Mersey Division of the Royal Navy Reserve. I managed to spend a weekend on board HMS Brereton sailing from Liverpool to Douglas in the Isle of Man when I was a Sea Cadet. The model is a mostly straight out of the box build of the Atlantic Models HMS Upton kit and this is the first kit I have built from this range.

I have made some improvements to this kit by designing and having manufactured some Photo-Etch detail. There is a complete build log here.  This gives some details about my build and about the Ton class that might be useful for anyone wanting to build one of these fine ships.
