1/400 HMS Ancylus MAC (Revell Kitbash)
Few pictures and info is avaliable to build a MAC-ship exactly similar to original ship, but this model is realistic. MAC-ship for Merchant Armed Carrier were tanker transformed to be used as carrier support vessel on north Atlantic convoy. The crew was merchant navy crew, only the squadron and support people for the squadron were Royal Navy guys, thus the flag is Red-duster and not traditionnal RN-Flag. The flag on the mast is the mark of the commodore of the merchant fleet in convoy.
Base of kit is T2 from Revell/USS Mission Capistrano, airplanes are L'Arsenal kits, deck and remodelling is scratchbuilt.
