I got this idea from Anthony Preston's Battleships: 1856-1977, Summit Books: Hamlyn, (1977) page 125. The concept of a hybrid battleship-carrier must have been intriguing even if the dominant thinking was that they would fail in both roles. Of course the Japanese completed the Ise but too late in the war to carry planes. It was an interesting build in which the kits lent themselves well to the composition!
