1/72 MTB-385 (Airfix)
This is the Airfix "Vosper MTB" kit which represents a mid/late-war Vosper 73-foot boat. Like the other Airfix 1/72 boats, it's a very good kit for its age but suffers from a poorly fitting, tricky to assemble multi-part hull, and is lacking in detail in a few areas. I added some extra scratchbuilt detail to the basic kit, including shoulder rests for the twin 20mm, bridge instruments, radar aerials from brass wire and PE scrap, and flare launchers on the forward torpedo tubes. The nameplate on the stand is made from Slaters styrene lettering.
