1/500 HMS Compass Rose (Scratchbuilt)
I built this Flower class corvette some years ago. It was done without much info to go on. Thanks to David in Essex for the photos on the forum, I finally got a good look at her.
The Cruel Sea is a movie staring Compass Rose, one of the most famous ships that never existed.
My ship has a cedar hull and basswood bridge and deckhouse. I hand made the 4" mount and the depth charge racks. The boats and mast came from a kit I no longer recognize. PE rails,ladders,liferings,windscreen,and girders finish her off. One day I will set Cdr. Eriksen and Lt. Lockheart on the bridge and I need some smaller anchor chain. SNORKERS!..GOOD-O !!!
