CSS Atlanta

1/200 CSS Atlanta (Verlinden)

This is Verlinden Production's CSS Atlanta in 1/200 scale. Review of the kit is here.

Main error in the kit:
Starboard side should not have the same gunport pattern as the port side - the starboard side should have evenly-spaced gunports, unlike the port side. I did not correct this as I would most likely mess it up and make it look worse - see my BB-63 USS Missouri for an example.

Additions:

• Scratchbuilt railings using copper wire for stantions and electrical wire for bars
• Spar torpedo rig
• Sprue gunport cover "rope"

Water:

• Wooden board painted with Gunze Sangyo Aqueous Hobby Colours RLM 02.
• Covered with acrylic gel.
• Painted with white for foam.

Paints:

• Sides: PollyScale Gunship Grey
• Deck: PollyScale Deck tan with some grey weathering.
• Boats: Gunze Sangyo Aqueous Hobby Colours Flat White
