1/192 CSS Hope (Scratchbuilt)
This is my second attempt at scratchbuilding, after years of plastic models.
Hope was an iron and steel hull paddlwheel steamer. At her launching, one observer remarked that she was the "fastes and finest." Her career as a blockade runner was cut short when, after making two successful runs into Wilmington NC, she was captures by Union forces on her third attempt.
A sister ship, "Colonel Lamb", made 14 successful trips before being captured.
