1/96 USS Monadnock (Cottage Industries)
I built the kit from the box and rigged her with Cottage Industries CIM rope, this material looks great but is prone to sagging when the weather turns rainy! For the iron works I applied a coat of Tamiya NATO black followed with a highlight coat of Tamiya german Grey, this was then given a wash of Burnt Seinna oil paint mixed with flat black enamel. The decks were sprayed with a coat of Buff and then covered with Burnt Umber oil paint straight from the tube, this was then wiped off leaving a very thin coat.
