1/96 HMS Sanspareil (builders model restoration)

I thought you might be interested in seeing this extraordinary model that I just finished restoring. Model built in England in 1885. I believe it to be the builders model. It is 1/8 inch scale; overall length of case is 55 inches. Construction is wood hull and superstructure,guilded brass fittings of the highest caliber.The construction techniques are similar to other early English builders models that I have restored. The model is built to a very high standard. The model came from the estate of the late James L. Haines and is bound for the New York auction market.
