1/700 Chikyu Scientific Deep Sea Drilling Vessel (Bandai)
Not a warship, but perhaps still of interest. This is a Japanese government sponsored deep sea research vessel. But more interesting is that this kit from Bandai is a pre-colored, snap together product. I did paint it, added photoetch, and used some glue, but overall this started as a kit designed for school kids moving on from the Gundam kits Bandai is otherwise famous for. A very fun build with a massive parts count.
