1/700 HTMS Kram (Pit-Road)
HTMS Kram was ex-USS LSM-469, the LSM-1 class. A ship was laid down on 27/01/1945, launched 27/02/1945, commissioned 17/03/1945. During WW-II, she was served in the Asia-Pacific theater and decommissioned 29/08/1946. A ship was transferred to the Royal Thai Navy 25/09/1962 and commissioned 16/07/1962, named HTMS Kram. She was in serviced for forty years and decommissioned 26/02/2002.
On 30/01/2003, HTMS Kram had sunken by the Royal Thai Navy as an artificial reef and new wreck site for diving. A ship was gently sit on seabed at 26.4 meter depth near Ko Phai, 11 nm off Pattaya Bay
I built this kit with HTMS Kut. The kit comes from Pit-Road early type LSM which modified to match LSM-1 Class and plastered with Tamiya putty. I used Photoshop's filter tool to dye the images to look like underwater shots. The divers come from Eduard pre-painted naval figures.
