Leonardo Da Vinci's Paddle Boat (Italeri)
Leonardo Da Vinci - born April 15 in 1452 died May 2nd 1519, many called this man a genius born well before his time, his inventions of weird and wonderful things even today have us gasping in awe. The above paddle boat is a simple plastic model requiring no glue or paint, it has a working gear mechanism connecting a basic wind up system allowing the paddles to move the craft through water. Today we can clearly see the NRG expelled to generate such power greatly outweighs the need for a good set of wooden hand held paddles, like so many of Da Vinci inventions, some were thought to have been constructed while others never left the drawing board.
The model doesn't give a scale, and I'd guess 1-35, a very nice learning model for any age.
