Two PT's
by Don Macdonald

1/32 PT Boats (Lindbergh and Dumas)

This is a Dumas PT that was scratch built kit bash with some of Don's specials The Pt came to me as a complete mess, a lot of hull work had to be done and allot of clean up . The first thing I did was strip it down completely. Redid the deck , then started redoing allot more of the pt before I even started building . I was given the a Lindbergh PT 1/32 SCALE THE DUMAS IN THE SAME SCALE the wooden kit , This person wanted me to see if I could clean it up and do something with it, I changed it from a mess to a nice pt. It had a single Rudder and prop, I turned it into a dual prop and rudder all brass, then added a set of 550s motors with all brass couplings, with brass rods and stuffing Box's.I  then added a water cooled Tiken speed control, The one that is set up for Marine use. Then added a standard 2 channel radio , Also set up with a 12 Volt jell cell battery, added allot of the Lindbergh parts, As well as some scratch building and also set it up with the como. I kind of did to look something like my own pt , It also had water cooling for the motors as well that built my self just by using and bending aluminum 1/8 th tubing . Water pick ups were coming from out back be behind the props.

The Lindbergh PT came to me a mess and had to compleatly redo it I ended keeping this one for a wile untill I could not turn down what was offered to me at that time.  Now I am helping aother person that is building another Pt.  This is something I enjoy doing helping others one way or another.
