1/32 PT-658 Torpedo Boat (Lindbergh RC conversion)

This  is a RC model of PT 658 that the real one is being restored here in Portland Oregon. This was built on on the standard Lindbergh plastic kit hull. A lot of it was scratch built like all of the  main guns on the deck, As well as the chart house completely.  Most of the armament on deck and racks were scratch built. It has a set of dual Mack Motors, Tiken speed control along with cooling fins on the motors. This is the Higgens 78 footer PT that is not known all that much. She was considered as a wet boat for the crew did not have that many places to stay dry.

 Small boats status 27 August 1945
 Remote Controlled Target to Mugu December 1948
 Sold June 1958.
Came to Portland early in 1990 some time to save the PT boat club to be restored .

  When our Pt is done it will be one of the few PT still and running when completed,  She will have a few changes when it comes to the armament  on deck. Good Replicas not real of what it use to have. Will have 2 torpedos not 4 like the real one had.
