Hi there, I've been visiting your site at least twice a day for the last while, reading reviews and admiring your gallery pages and in more than a couple of instances using your gallerys as references for my own efforts at building my model ships. I finally got a boat built that I think might be of worthy quality for your small craft gallery. I read in the page regarding adding emails to the gallery page that you sometimes add the emails under the pictures. The below paragraph would be what I would have to say about the kit. "One of the first kits that I've done since early childhood and was an absolute joy to build. The kit went together nicely with a little flash needing to be removed. The parts in general came together with a decent fit. I didn't add all of the kit supplied decals, because I was afraid that they would take away from the look of the boat. I also used the infamous "black thread" for the handrails on the bow. Personally I think they look fine in this scale, but even at this large of a scale (1/72) the fuzziness is noticible to nit-pickers among us. I sprayed the kit with model master Olive Drab and Insignia Red and coated the entire model with dullcote. A small modification I made was the water line. The instructions are to paint it silver and have it follow the raised ridge in the hull, but as you can see I did not do that. Four figures also come with the kit, but as was the case with the decals, they were left off for fear of them detracting from the look of the kit." Thank you very much for giving me the oportunity to contribute to this site as it has helped immensely with my own kits and even choice of kits to build thanks to your reviews section I hope that these pictures are satisfactory for you.
