1/350 PC-1226 173' Patrol Craft/Subchaser (L'Arsenal)
L'Arsenal's little subchaser is an excellent kit that includes everything one needs to make an excellent model. The kit represents one of the subchasers the US provided to the French Navy in WWII. I chose to transfer the model back to the US Navy (other than paint scheme and a new number nothing else was required).I built this model out-of-the box. The castings were perfect and the PE very easy to work with. The picture-type instructions are excellent. The only problem I had was the very thin resin 40mm single mount barrel--I managed to break one; but, L'Arsenal provided two. I would definitely recommend this kit to someone who wants to get started with resin ship building.
