1/350 PT-174 (WEM)
This is a conversion of the nice little WEM 1/350 PT-109 kit into PT-174 in her Adaptor (Zebra) scheme. It’s the first of three PT boats I’m working on and will be mounted in a waterline display.
For the Adaptor scheme I created my own decals. They actually came out pretty good, and gave me a level of detail I could never achieve if I tried painting it on. The 40mm Bofors gun mounted on her foredeck was scratch built and the figures are L'ARSENAL. Overall it was a fun little weekend project. It’s amazing how much detail you can get into a small space, right down to a strand of hair for the antenna!
