The USS PT 269 is a WW2 Motor Torpedo Boat of the Higgins 78' Class of the US Navy. Built by Higgins Industries (New Orleans, Louisiana, USA). Laid down 18 December 1942, launched 16 February 1943, commissioned 28 August 1943 and then transferred to the Soviet Union in November 1943 being renamed TK 206. I built this RC wooden 43" long replica approximately 30 years ago and I have repaired it several times. I just recently added the lighting system that can be seen in the photos. Originally equipped with a water cooled 10cc engine, it is now equipped with a smaller but more efficient 3.5cc engine. The wooden hull is very strong. Many wooden or metallic parts are completely homemade. The model is heavy (around 22 pounds) but runs very fast thanks to the specific shape of the hull.
