1/42 PT-41 (Kitbash)
Hello all! This boat I had been thinking about for awhile. So, I finally tore down the small Island Craft Coast Guard cutter. Then I converted it into the small PT-41. I used parts out from the 1/48 Lindbergh PT-109 kit and plans I had onhand.
This boat is only 20 inches long. The hull is not completely right, but it works for what I wanted. So this boat is part kit, part kitbash and part scratchbuild. The Lewis 30 guns are scratchbuilt- those were fun. If you go and look at my site you will see what I started with. I set it up with one motor and rudder. It will become a small rc traveling boat later.
Have to wait for better weather for a test run. We have good old Oregon rains for now.
