Small Cold War Torpedo Boats from the Baltic

1/400 Small Cold War Torpedo Boats (Various Paper)

This is why I like so much working in paper. I know it is not the same as plastic or resin and curved surfaces (or worst, spheres) are very difficult to reproduce in a nice way. Nevertheless, tell me: where are the Soviet P-6, and TD-200 bis, or the Swedish T-38 in any scale? You see why this is a nice media!

The P-6 came from an out-of-print model by Kranich. The print includes a large torpedo boat Shershen (in progress), a P-6 and, an East Germany landing craft in 1:200.

The T-38 came in the JSC-No.69 with the destroyer Smaland and the Hajen and Nordkaparen submarines. The motor torpedo boat from 1952 is currently at the Naval Museum of Karlskrona in Sweden.

The TD-200 bis is a modification of the polish sub chaser ¦miały, a MO-D-3 of Soviet origin, from Kartonowa Flota in 1:300. It was modified using warboats.org as the main reference. There is very little information on this torpedo boat, for the others at least some one can rely on Jane’s!

Once you have the needed information you may use a color copier to do the necessary reductions. Then you cut, and paste and, may be, a retouch. The models here presented have very limited photoetched details and no rigging, flags or railing. I hope you like them.
