1/400 Pauk (Mirage)
These little patrol boats are great for exotic subjects, I made this particular one in Ukrainian Navy Markings because of a very special friend of mine in Kiev. I decided it looked a little plain by itself and being such a small subject so I decided to put it on a wooden base in one of those clear plastic model car display cases. However the ship still looked tacky inside. I decided to build up a frame aroudn the base with extra long match sticks gluded in place with paper glue. I then supergluded them to the case itself and painted them black with a paint marker, beads were screwed in place at the bottom for legs with some help from supergule. I am thinking now the next time I do a sail warship ill put it in a case also, but it will have to be a much larger case, vanity works in mysterious ways.
