1/300 Bunting Ship of the Line (Lindberg)
The diorama is based at Spanish Royal Navy Code of 1802 illustrated by pictures of Agustín Berlinguero ( 1750-1810). Midshipman of the Spanish Royal Navy and a great watercolorist painter too. The great size of the ensign and signal flags was due to identify the ships through the intense gun powder smoke at the sea battle. The Ensign of the Spanish Ship of Line 74 guns San Ildefonso captured at Trafalgar ( 1805 ) was hangin'up in the transept of St. Paul's Cathedral at London during Admiral Nelson's funerals. On the occasion of 100 th anniversary of Trafalgar Battle was hungin'up at Queen'House in Greenwich. Restored in 2005 it is clear the outsize in relation to the working specialist.The kit it's a very old model of H.M.S. Victory from Lindberg transformed to a Spanish Ship of Line. The boats,officers, gunners and rowers are from Langton Miniatures.
