1/135 Chinese Junk (IMAI)

The oldest description of a chinese junk it's of the Seaman and Traveller Marco Polo from Venice at the year 1298. This old model from IMAI depicts a merchant junk of Hangchow Bay and along the China coast. It used to be painted  with bright colours, dragons, texts, a grotesque mask in the bows and a Phoenix Bird astern. The mast steps, weather vans and hand painted decoration are extras
