1/96 HMS Beagle (Revell Germany)
My wife, Silvia and I built this Revell kit out of the box, with the exception of the gun ports that were not provided by the manufatcurer. We followed as best as we could the manufacturer painting and assembly instructions. We used Revell paints - according to the color scheme (with one exception only). The kit has not presented any serious problems and was quite nicely done. The rigging and painting have been done by Silvia, as I am not good at this - the assembly and gluing have been done by myself. We enjoyed the whole process and will probably repeat it with some other kit. I have not done any plastic kits for more than 15 years and this one was a real pleasure, as we have completed it over a long period of time (about 8 months, working on it just from time to time), without putting too much efforts and stress on it.
I really want to thank Silvia for all the efforts, care and ideas she put into this model - I could have not done it myself without her help. We hope that you would like the results, as your comments are welcome.
